My Favorite “Fitstagram” Accounts

As an avid Instagram user and a girl who is always looking for a new way to stay in shape, I love a good motivational Instagram account. A “Fitstagram” is simply a fitness Instagram account where users post health habits, fitness routines, recipes, and more. With the ever-growing amount of Instagram users and fitness community, I have found myself checking in on certain Instagram accounts more than others to help me with my healthy lifestyle. You will find that I found most of these accounts through YouTube but later found myself stalking their Instagram accounts much more than their channels. Also, it is important to realize that most of the people I follow to make a living by posting about products they use or create, so if you’re not into that it might be a good idea to steer clear of these accounts. It’s because of this that I decided to share my favorite “Fitstagram” accounts with the reasons why I love them for you guys to check out for yourselves.

Whitney Simmons – @whitneyysimmons

My love for following fitness accounts stems from Whitney Simmons. I first started following Whitney’s YouTube account about two years ago, and I haven’t stopped obsessing over her since. Her YouTube led me to her Instagram account, and I absolutely love it. She motivates me to live a healthy lifestyle through mind, body, and spirit, as well as making sure her followers know how beautiful they are. I love how she tries to always stay positive in all her posts, but she is always honest. I have even made the point to buy her merch because I love her so much. If you follow any of the accounts I suggest in this post, this is by far my favorite one for women.

Sarah’s Day – @sarahs_day

Like Whitney, I found Sarah through her YouTube. I have been following Sarah’s YouTube for a while, but I found myself more engaged with her Instagram account. She is so real with her followers, and she and her boyfriend recently started a Podcast called The Health Code(if you want me to share my favorite podcasts, comment below!). All of her accounts focus on doing things naturally and living a realistic, healthy lifestyle. She shares tips and tricks that have helped her, but she always recognizes that everyone needs to listen to their own bodies for the best health results. Sarah is awesome at pushing her followers to stay healthy in ways that keep them motivated, like switching up workouts regularly. I have tried to a couple of her smoothie recipes, and they are delicious. Overall, Sarah is super fun and relatable which is one reason I love her accounts so much.

Des Scoggin – @debs__

I have been following Des Scoggin for about four or five months now. I first found her page through someone else I follow, and I have loved it ever since. Although she is a serious health nut, competing in shows and completely changing her physique for shows which is much different than I am, she is super awesome to follow. She has created an amazing community (Facebook and Instagram) with the fitness guides she has created, and it is awesome to see the women she has brought together. I recently just bought her Fit In 6 fitness guide and am totally excited to use it (if you want me to post about my experience with this guide comment below). Des is a lot of fun to follow, and she too recognizes that it’s a lifestyle. I love following her because she truly cares about the people that follow her, and she even takes the time to respond to most of the comments, emails, and other responses.

Anjuli Mack – @anjuli_fitforlife

I found Anjuli Mack through my Instagram discover page. I love how dedicated to fitness she is as well as her job. I haven’t been following her for that long, so I don’t have as much to say about her. I love seeing what she eats in a day and other ways besides the gym that she stays fit. Anjuli, like DesB, also competes in shows, and loves pushing herself.

Grace Fit – @gracefituk

I found Grace when she was still a Gymshark athlete (she no longer is an athlete due to pursuing more opportunities). I have also seen her YouTube channel multiple times and have found her pretty engaging. One of the reasons that I like her so much is because she is still in college like I am. She posts workouts, long and short, that are fun Although I am not vegan like she is, she knows the difficulty of staying healthy mentally and physically while being a student. This is a good account to follow if you’re a student trying to get healthy and unsure if you can do it or not.

Gymshark Train – @gymsharktrain

I have mentioned Gymshark multiple times above. They are a UK based fitness clothing brand, and I have a couple pairs of their leggings. I totally suggest them if you’re looking for a nice, durable pair. They have multiple accounts featuring their athletes of real models, but this is my favorite account out of theirs. This account shows their athletes’ posts (mostly workouts) that you can see all in one account rather than following all the Gymshark athletes. It features both men and women showing various workouts that are pretty simple and easy to follow at the gym once you save them to your Instagram. the athletes are usually wearing Gymshark clothing during the videos, making it a good way to see the clothes in use, for example, how they stay or don’t stay on people while moving around in the gym.

I know that this was a longer post, but I thought this was a good way to get an inside look at some of my favorite accounts. There are plenty of other great fitness accounts out there, and these are just some of my favorite ones.
