Hello, and happy day! Earlier this year I discovered my love for podcasts. I don’t know if it’s because my cousin introduced me to the world of podcasts or because I got bored listening to the same playlists on my long road trips; either way I’m glad I found it. In no specific order, here are five podcasts I can’t stop listening to.
1. The Health Code
As it says in the title, this podcast is all things health. From relationships to working out, Sarah and Kurt take you through their own personal journeys and days. Each episode makes you feel like you’re right there with them, and they’ve created a “codebook” system to help you remember all their helpful tips and tricks.
2. Armchair Expert
Ever since watching NBC’s Parenthood, I’ve realized my love for Dax Shepard’s quirky, honest personality. I love hearing the playful banter between Dax and his star-studded guests like Anna Faris, Ellen, Kristen Bell, Lauren Graham, and more. This podcast is a great listen, and it inspires me to one day create my own. Dax does a great job at making people realize he (and all his guests) really are just regular people who so happen to be famous.
If this were in a specific order of favorites I would definitely put this one first (sorry, not sorry). I love all things mysteries, and the first season embodies that. This is the greatest mystery I’ve come in contact with, and it is almost indescribable. You will follow the host as she takes you through the cases facts and much opinion. It keeps you on your toes the whole season and gives you an ending you aren’t even expecting. This is great for long car rides (where I’ve listened to it twice!).
4. Modern Love
This podcast is different each episode, and I love the way that each one tells its own unique story of love. Whether it’s about a breakup or a family, this podcast is relatable and often funny. Stories are read by recognizable voices from TV, Broadway, Hollywood, and more. If you’re looking for a podcast that is a different story of different kinds of love, Modern Love is for you.
5. Reply All
Are you internet savvy? Then this is for you. This is new stories involving the internet each episode. You follow people through their own crazy incidences with all things internet. The hosts of this show have extremely soothing voices, and they have playful banter back and forth. This is worth checking out, especially if you’re willing to learn something new.
This post is a bit shorter than usual, but I hope that your ears find pleasure in these podcasts. If you have any recommendations for new ones or specific episodes from these podcasts comment below.
